Create a card using Stampin' Up's Sea Of Textures
T oday, I am showing a card I created using the Sea Of Textures stamp set as well as the Under The Sea Framelits Dies. I also used the coordinating Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper. I am head over heels loving this set and the paper!! I think you will be seeing a few more cards from me using this set as there were many ideas floating around in my head as I made this card.
I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it to 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 and scored it at 4 1/4. That is my card base. I then took a piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and cut it down to 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 and glue it to my card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it to 3 1/8 x 4 3/8. used this piece for my inking and stamping. I sponged and blended Tranquil Tide, Soft Sea Foam and Balmy Blue inks onto the white layer until I liked the look. I then stamped the plant in Mossy Meadow, stamping off once before stamping on the cardstock so the image wouldn't be too dark. I glue that piece onto the card base. I stamped the Octopus using Fresh Fig and using my Big Shot and the coordinating die, cut that image out. I used Stampin' dimensionals to pop up the Octopus on my card. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on the card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I finished this card by applying 5 Jewels Basic Rhinestones.
You can purchase the stamp set and the coordinating dies separately or as a bundle. When you get the bundle, you save 10%! It's a great deal. The Designer Series paper comes in 12x12 sheets, 12 sheets per pack and is double sided so you have several different pattern options. The patterns are just beautiful.Until the end of July, select DSP is b3g1. What a deal!!
